During the Battery 2030+ Annual Conference held in Turin, Italy, the EERA Joint Programme on Energy Storage (JP ES) proudly celebrated early-career scientific excellence by presenting the Best Poster Awards. Coordinated directly through our Sub-Programme 1 (SP1) initiatives, these distinctions recognize outstanding research quality and exceptional technical communication in electrochemical storage solutions.
The evaluation committee selected two PhD candidates for the quality of their research presentations and technical delivery:
Presentation Highlights: Outlined fundamental strategic pathways to mitigate high reactivity, safety concerns, and electrolyte degradation challenges typical of lithium-metal battery architectures.
Presentation Highlights: Presented a co-authored, multifunctional three-layer separator designed to capture acidic species, suppress transition-metal dissolution, and enhance capacity retention during extended cycling.
Supporting development opportunities for early-stage researchers remains a central pillar of the SP1 roadmap.
