JP ES SP3 in collaboration with University of Stuttgart is organising the 5th International Workshop on Carnot Batteries (IWCB 2026), an international scientific event bringing together leading researchers and engineers from across the globe to discuss recent advances in Carnot battery technology.

A particular emphasis of IWCB 2026 is the support and visibility of early‑career researchers. Young scientists, including PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers, will be given the opportunity to present their work in dedicated poster sessions and to engage in scientific exchange with internationally recognised experts.

In line with EERA’s mission to foster excellence and collaboration in energy research, EERA Joint Programme Energy Storage will recognise outstanding poster contributions by early‑career researchers through a Best Poster Award at the workshop.
