StoRIES Infrastructures: KTH research infrastructure

KTH (Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden) research infrastructure is composed of three labs: TES Materials Characterization Infrastructure, Component Testing Infrastructure and Application Scale System Infrastructure.

State of the art: Bulk-scale ES materials often act differently as compared to properties tested on micro scale. Facilities offered by KTH includes material property characterization, component level heat transfer investigations and system scale storage integration and performance evaluation.

Services currently offered by the infrastructures: Infrastructure A offers thermal and physical material property testing with T-History, micro-DSC, TPS and Viscometer. Infrastructure B offers Plugin SHTES and LHTES, Mobile LHTES, Ammonia-Metal Halide TCS, and High temp SHTES. Infrastructure C offers application scale Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) with storage, solar PVT with ES, climatic chamber, ATES/ BTES and Full Scale Live-in Lab.
